CPL

The Canadian Premier League is the top-tier professional soccer league in Canada, established in 2019 to develop and promote the sport at a national level. The league features clubs from across the country, providing a platform for Canadian players, coaches, and fans to engage with the game domestically. Its mission is to grow Canadian soccer, strengthen local talent, and build a sustainable football culture that reflects the country’s diversity and passion. Through its competitive structure and community-driven approach, the CPL aims to inspire the next generation of players and elevate Canada’s presence on the global soccer stage.

Designing the Website and App

For the Canadian Premier League project, I led the full design process for both the website and mobile app, crafting a cohesive digital experience that celebrates the league’s identity and connects fans across the country. The journey began with a validation workshop to align with the client on business objectives, user expectations, and overall vision. From there, I developed the information architecture, defining a clear and logical structure to support intuitive navigation and content discovery. I then created wireframes to map out user flows and interactions, followed by the UI design, which translated the league’s energy and national pride into a bold, engaging visual system. The process concluded with interactive prototypes for both platforms to validate usability and guide development. Throughout the entire project, I worked in close collaboration with the client, maintaining strong synergy with the project manager, product owner and developers, ensuring every design decision was user-centered, feasible, and consistent from concept to launch.
